Mindful ADHD

Key Points About Our Chat

  • ADHD correlates with genetics (vs environment) and is found in 1 out of 15 people; it affects executive function.

  • Meet your kids where they are at developmentally; kindergartens that are more academically inclined (for example) often result in higher degrees of misdiagnosed ADHD.

  • Parent led non-medical interventions can be effective for helping children with ADHD, work with a professional to make a plan to build support systems (behavioural, exercise, sleep, etc.)
